Quick Charge-compatible car chargers are getting very common these days, but many only have one port. Those with multiple ports often have a single Quick Charge port, which is unfortunate for passengers or tablet dash installs. (A standard port can’t keep up with an in-use tablet in the car. Ask me how I know.) The Tronsmart Quick Charge 2.0 car charger features two Quick Charge ports, as well as two microUSB cables.
Ports: 2 Quick Charge 2.0 USB ports
Cables: 2 microUSB cables
Where to buy: Tronsmart,
The charger is made out of matte plastic and feels high-quality. The design is nice, and it’s more compact than many dual-port chargers that include Quick Charge (though basic two port car chargers can be smaller). The size is important for some cars, as my car has a cup holder that can bump into bigger chargers. It’s also not as tight as many chargers in the car’s power port, so it’s not difficult to remove.
The two included USB cables are of great quality, and are thicker than the average cable. This makes them resistant to kinking, which is great for the car. The cable ends are reasonably small, so you should be able to use them with most cases.
As far as charging rate, it’s actually on the high end of the Quick Charge 2.0 range. It charges over 1% per minute when charging my Moto X that’s playing music over Bluetooth. It seems to charge noticeably quicker than some other Quick Chargers I’ve used, though there are others that are about as fast.
This is a great choice for a Quick Charge 2.0-compatible car charger. It’s well priced, it’s quicker than many others, and it comes with two very nice USB cables.
